The youth is a group that seeks to bring together a youthful group of members into fellowship together. This year’s theme is Preach The Gospel, #Christ‘s Mission, My Mission with the leading word from 2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.”

Teens Highlight

  1. Consistency of Sunday services throughout the year.

  2. Teens camp in December 2023 at Bundu camp.

  3. The lead Forum for form 4 leavers from January to March.

  4. Transition: received from Church School and have had members transition to youth.

  5. Dialogue Sermons where we invite mentors to interact with teens during the Sunday service and speak on different topics.

  6. Participation in the just concluded Christeens camp with attendance of 38 teens and 4 mentors.

Ongoing Activities

  1. Sunday Services: Youth involved in all elements of the service

  2. Word 4 Word

  3. Discipleship Classes: Grown from 3 to 6 with a class launched in February and a Young Couples class bringing the total number of youth involved to around 30.

  4. Group Engagements

  5. Youth Districts and Elders: NWest North Benson, NWest South Peninah, Weekly Fellowship

  6. Young Professional Breakfast.

Goals and Planned Activities

  1. Ladies and Gentlemen focussed Engagements.

  2. Campus Youth Engagements

  3. Upgrading and Refurbishment of Youth Hall Audio Visual Set-Up

  4. More involvement with Presbetary, a football match with Langata PCEA among other engagements.

  5. Recruitment of more youths into the youth fellowship especially the ones attending the main service.

  6. Implement planned activities and events previously not undertaken, sports day, youth parents meeting (in conjunction with the parish minister’s office), Worship Afternoon, Mentorship Programs, and district meetups.

  7. Increased retention programs and mission work.

  8. More collaboration with church groups and committees.

  9. Procurement of new seats for the Youth Hall and continuous facelift of the youth hall.

  10. Increased Youth involvement and participation in Teens Service.

  11. Drafting and implementation of policy document and service charter.

  12. Collaboration with the Woman’s Guild in Youth Service beautification and specific ladies’ engagement programs like the Young Ladies Picnics.

  13. Collaboration with Ushering for welcome guidance and packets for youth visitors.

  14. Collaboration with PCMF in building a strong YPCMF force through specific mentorship of Young Men through appearing programs like the Young Men Bonfire Times which will open room for discussion of issues like Biblical manhood.
